We’re currently seeking a dependable and detail-oriented licensed Pharmacy Technician to join our team full-time and help ensure the smooth and professional operation of our pharmacy.
Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented, and licensed Pharmacy Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate must be available to work evenings and weekends. In this role, you will work closely with our pharmacists to support prescription preparation, medication safety, inventory control, and patient care. Your expertise will be vital in ensuring compliance, accuracy, and exceptional service to our patients.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and dispense medications in accordance with regulations and under pharmacist supervision
Perform regulated technician duties as per Alberta College of Pharmacy (ACP) scope
Enter and verify patient and prescription data accurately
Support inventory management: order, receive, and organize medication stock
Communicate with patients and healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care
Process third-party insurance claims and resolve billing issues
Ensure compliance with all pharmacy procedures, policies, and provincial regulations
Qualifications & Requirements
Licensed and in good standing with the Alberta College of Pharmacy (ACP)
Completion of a CCAPP-accredited Pharmacy Technician program
Previous pharmacy experience is preferred but not required
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required
