Responsibilities:
• Uphold all local, state, and federal regulations; report illegal activities such as robbery, theft, or fraud.
• Follow food safety and sanitation regulations to maintain a safe working environment; identify and report unsafe conditions.
• Manage ordering from primary and secondary wholesalers effectively.
• Utilize computerized inventory management systems for medications and supplies.
• Maintain an organized and clean work station, ensuring a pleasant customer waiting area.
• Prepare and measure products accurately following best practices.
• Handle billing procedures effectively to ensure customer satisfaction and company profitability.
• Answer incoming calls, triaging inquiries appropriately.
• Adhere to guidelines for vendor coupons and cash management.
• Operate cash registers smoothly, managing all transactions responsibly.
• Provide a stellar customer experience while processing prescriptions and dispensing products accurately.
• Support pharmacists with all tasks, except those requiring a licensed professional's judgment.
• Comply with HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality.
• Promote and support company health and wellness initiatives.
• Organize and process legend orders, including Central Fill deliveries.
• Work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and manage conflict effectively.
• Maintain integrity concerning customer and business information.
• Follow directions efficiently and seek help when necessary to resolve issues.
• Assist customers of varying needs, including minors and older adults.
• Perform job functions effectively with or without reasonable accommodation.
Qualifications:
Minimum:
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Aged 18 years or older.
• Able to handle highly confidential information.
• Meets state requirements for pharmacy support functions.
Desired:
• Prior experience in a related role.
• Experience as a pharmacy clerk.
• Familiarity with EPRN systems.
