Looking for a photo and studio assistant for a director/photographer. Looking for someone interested in growing into the role. Permanent full time.
This role works closely with the Studio Manager and Director/Photographer, supporting projects from Pre to Post Production. Looking for someone who is proactive with a solutions-oriented mindset and willingness to jump in wherever needed.
Must be familiar with Capture One, Adobe Photoshop, Profoto and Canon and have some on-set experience as a photo assistant or PA.
This is an in-person position working on-set and in office.
Will be required to work as a digitech/photo assistant for on-set days. Responsibilities include:
Set up/Tear Down
File management
Acting as a 1st assistant, or 2nd assistant on larger productions
Assisting with load in, load out for on-location shoots
Driving to and from location
Drafting Gear lists for upcoming shoots
In office days will consist of:
File Management
Assisting with pre-production
Cleaning and studio maintenance
Assisting studio staff over 3 locations
This is an entry-level position with room for growth. Open to training the right candidate.
Interest in learning more about motion shoots and retouching knowledge and experience is an asset.
Qualifications:
Entry level position.
Familiarity with software including Capture One, Adobe Photoshop
Familiar with photography/video equipment: Profoto, Canon, Aputure
Comfortable lighting a basic photography set-up
Self-starter who is highly organized and detail-oriented
Ability to work independently and effectively in a high-paced environment with competing priorities
Ability to move large and heavy items
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Google Office
Creative and solutions-oriented
Detail oriented, strong organizational skills, and ability to multitask
Driver’s License as asset
Interest in motion shoots and productions
1-3 years experience customer service

Pay: $45,000.00-$48,000.00 per year
