Picture this: you'll have the chance to contribute your skills, collaborate with a talented team, and make a real difference in the world's leading universities. You’ll be at the heart of the action, crafting low-latency, high-availability, and performant software. Expect a mix of collaboration, problem-solving, and a healthy dose of experimentation.

Our Tech Playground
• Our tech stack is a Javascript (React) frontend, PHP backend, MySQL, and all running on AWS.
• This role mainly puts the spotlight on PHP, especially the Laravel and Lumen frameworks but many in our engineering team have a full-stack approach.
• We've made great progress using the latest OpenAI technology to enhance our customers' workflows and create substantial impact for them - but this is just the beginning of our AI journey.

Who We’re Looking For
• Tech Enthusiast & Codebase Explorer: With 2+ years in the PHP field, you're ready to delve deeper into our codebase.
• Startup Pro & Chaos Champion: Experienced in small teams or startups and thrive in agile, dynamic, and flexible environments? Can deal with unknowns and possess, a "get sht done" mentality? Perfect!
• Rebel Coder & Growth-Oriented: You’re opinionated, open-minded, and unafraid to challenge the status quo.
• Learning Mindset: If you're passionate about technology and continuous growth, we're looking for you.
• Value Teamwork: We thrive on collaboration and diversity. If you value shared success, you’ll fit right in.
• Prioritise Customers: We're committed to excellence for our customers. If you strive to understand and exceed their needs, you're essential to our team.
• Motivated by Change: If you see change as an opportunity for innovation and thrive in dynamic environments, you're the change-maker we need.

The Hard Skillz Needed ✅
• Passionate for PHP: Solid understanding of PHP, Laravel, and Lumen. Good knowledge of MySQL. And if you’ve dabbled in Javascript, even better!
• Coding Connoisseur: You can quickly grasp new concepts and technologies. You can hit the ground running and make meaningful contributions in a short period of time.
• Startup Experience: Proven track record working in a startup or small business environment. Your experience navigating these dynamic settings will be invaluable.
• Strong Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional communication skills with a focus on teamwork and collaboration.
• Customer-Centric Mindset: Proven track record of putting customers first and excelling in customer service.
• Change Embracer: Ability to adapt quickly to new challenges and opportunities, and embrace change with an open mind.
• Commitment to Learning: Devoted to continuous learning and professional development, always looking for ways to grow and improve.
• Agile Aficionado: You're familiar with Agile delivery practices and thrive in a lean, dynamic environment.
• Testing Fanatic: Testing is a way of life for you—BDD, TDD, automated testing; you love it all!
• Cloud Familiarity: Experience with AWS? Appreciated, but not essential.
• Mentor Mindset: Ready to guide those earlier in their coding journey and share your experiences (both good and bad) with them.

The Benefits
• Work-Life Balance: 33 days of holiday, optional compressed 4-day workweek, and flexible working arrangements.
• JFDI Attitude: We believe in getting things done within a short 34-hour workweek
• Remote Flexibility: Embrace remote working with a stellar home office setup, also including MacBook Pro and headphones of your choice.
• Workation: Take your work on the road and explore new horizons.
