Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled PHP Developer with expertise in CodeIgniter and basic knowledge of
WordPress to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of PHP
programming language, CodeIgniter framework, and WordPress development basics. As a PHP
Developer, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain web
applications using CodeIgniter and WordPress.
Responsibilities:
Develop, maintain, and enhance web applications using PHP, CodeIgniter, MySQL, HTML, CSS, and
JavaScript.
Write clean, well-designed, and efficient code following industry best practices and coding
standards.
Collaborate with the team to understand project requirements and translate them into technical
specifications.
Participate in the entire software development life cycle, including planning, designing, coding,
testing, and deployment.
Troubleshoot and debug issues, perform unit testing, and ensure software quality.
Optimize application performance and identify areas for improvement.
Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve
development processes and tools.
Work closely with other team members, including designers and other developers, to ensure
seamless integration of front-end and back-end functionalities.
Implement WordPress themes and plugins based on provided designs and requirements.
Customize existing WordPress themes and plugins as per project needs.
Perform basic WordPress site setup, configuration, and maintenance tasks.
Ensure WordPress sites are secure, perform regular updates, and implement security best practices.
Collaborate with designers and content creators to ensure effective content management in
WordPress sites.
Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth integration between CodeIgniter and WordPress
components when required.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work
experience).
Proven experience as a PHP Developer, preferably working on CodeIgniter projects.
Strong knowledge of PHP programming language and CodeIgniter framework.
Familiarity with WordPress and basic understanding of WordPress theme and plugin development.
Proficient in front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.
Experience with database systems like MySQL, including database design and optimization.
Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and code collaboration tools.
Understanding of web services, RESTful APIs, and integration of third-party APIs.
Knowledge of responsive web design and mobile application development is a plus.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team
environment.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven
environment.
