Physical Education Teacher

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Physical Education Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing engaging physical education programs that promote physical fitness, teamwork, and a healthy lifestyle among our students. This role requires a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment that encourages student participation and growth in physical education.

Duties

Develop and deliver comprehensive physical education lessons that align with curriculum standards and promote physical fitness.

Assess students' physical abilities and progress, providing constructive feedback to enhance their skills.

Create a safe and inclusive environment for all students, ensuring proper supervision during activities.

Encourage teamwork, sportsmanship, and respect among students through various sports and fitness activities.

Collaborate with other educators to integrate health and wellness concepts into the broader curriculum.

Organize and participate in school-wide events, competitions, and extracurricular activities related to physical fitness.

Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and provide progress reports.

Experience

A bachelor's degree in Physical Education, Kinesiology, or a related field is required.

Previous experience teaching physical education at the elementary or secondary level is preferred.

Strong knowledge of various sports, fitness activities, and health education principles.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire students.

Certification in First Aid/CPR is a plus.

A passion for promoting healthy lifestyles among students is essential.
