Job Description

To provide proactive and responsive programs focused on ensuring a safe and secure environment for employees, clients, and assets entrusted to KeyCorp.

Define and enforce physical security standards, respond and manage critical events, provide protection services, conduct security and risk assessments.

Essential Job Functions

Manage critical events that have life safety implications; including coordinated response with internal partners and law enforcement.
Develop and maintain subject matter expertise of security standards and make recommendations for updates and enhancements to the standards. Specialize in one or more areas of physical security.
Proactively identify gaps in required physical security controls and initiate and manage remediation. Escalates risks to management as appropriate.
Document and update a risk profile for each assigned retail and corporate facility and perform on-site assessments of facilities as assigned.
Support all real estate projects for assigned facilities, which may include site visits, project meetings, review and approval of design, security equipment overlays and proposals, access needs, and third party deliverables.
Interface with third party vendors to ensure timely and accurate execution on approved scope.
Coordinate guard services for retail facilities.
Interface with various Lines of Business throughout the organization on physical security matters. Manage Line of Business and Real Estate expectations and anticipate and addresses concerns.

Required Qualifications

BS/BA degree or equivalent work experience.
5+ years experience in Physical Security or related field with broad understanding of physical security concepts and controls.
Solid understanding of security policies and standards.
Ability to effectively apply physical security standards to various situations based on risk.
Ability to understand and analyze business processes and problems of medium complexity, draw actionable conclusions, and make sound recommendations.
Ability to multi-task and handle competing priorities.
Strong project management skills.
Understanding of security design concepts.
Excellent oral and written communication skills. Effective listening skills.
Ability to communicate directly and diplomatically.
Excellent relationship management skills.
Excellent interpersonal, facilitation, and negotiation skills.
Highly organized.
Demonstrated ability to work well in a team.
Detail orientated.
Ability to travel outside of state and spend large amounts of time away from office.
Proficient with Microsoft Office products.

As a result, this role may be mobile or home based, which means you may work either at a home office or in a Key facility to perform your job duties. Please note that the person selected for the role will likely spend typically 2 - 3 days a week in the field.

Compensation And Benefits

This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $68,000.00 to $80,000.00 annually depending on location and job-related factors such as level of experience. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for short-term incentive compensation and deferred incentive compensation subject to individual and company performance.
