Job Title: Physician Assistant (Advanced Practice Clinician) - Clinic Setting
Location: Hamilton, ON

Overview:
As an Advanced Practice Clinician (Physician Assistant) working in a clinic setting, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality patient care working directly with a licensed physician. This position offers an opportunity to provide comprehensive medical services, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to improving healthcare outcomes for patients.

What you will be doing:

Be part of the multidisciplinary team to provide consultations for patients experiencing acute and/or chronic pain secondary to musculoskeletal dysfunction.

Complete assessments

Diagnose

Manage patients’ acute and chronic pain

Order and interpret diagnostic tests

Recommend and order procedures

Refer patients to specialists

Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with a specialist physician

Provide health education to patients and families in collaboration with a specialist physician.

Provide patients with continuity of care between and after procedures

Participate in Interdisciplinary rounds conducted daily to discuss goals and treatment plans

Maintain the strictest level of confidentiality and privacy.

Maintain and appropriately use EMR and Clinic systems and databases.

Follow clinic practices and procedures, providing feedback for improvements.


What you must have:

Completion of a recognized Physician Assistant program.

Current registration and licensure as a Physician Assistant with the College of Physicians and Surgeons

Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience, preferably in a primary care or specialty clinic setting.

Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills, with the ability to formulate and implement treatment plans.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-centered approach to care.

Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.

Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) and other healthcare technology.
