Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. This role involves providing comprehensive medical care, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients across various settings.
Duties
Conduct thorough patient assessments and physical examinations to determine health status.
Develop and implement treatment plans based on clinical evaluations.
Administer medications and perform injections if warranted (taught on the job).
Manage acute pain and chronic pain
Utilize EMR systems (Practice Fusion) for accurate documentation and data management.
Provide telehealth services to enhance patient access to care.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of patient records.
Educate patients on health management, nutrition, and preventive care strategies.
Requirements
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies .
Current certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) with active state licensure.
Experience in acute care settings such as emergency medicine, hospital medicine, or urgent care is preferred.
Proficiency in medical terminology, ICD-9/ICD-10 coding, CPT coding, and documentation practices.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with patients and healthcare teams.
Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification is a plus.
