Weekday shifts are 9:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. Weekend shifts are 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical histories and physical examinations
Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with physicians
Provide education and counseling to patients and their families regarding health conditions and treatment options
Provide minor medical illness care for patients of all ages (infants to seniors)
Perform minor trauma care, wound care, and in-office sterile procedures
This includes but is not limited to lacerations, sprains, strains, fractures, burns and other injuries
Prescribe medications, administer medications, and make recommendations for other therapeutic forms of treatment
Work in collaboration with other Providers and other offices to manage care for patients
Order, interpret, and record results of clinical tests to include x-rays (final read of x-ray images by Radiologist)
Communicate results with patients and/or other providers if indicated

Overview
Wasilla Medical Clinic is seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our team. We are a fast-paced Urgent Care that also provides limited Primary Care services. Our office provides flexible schedules, a supportive work environment, and an emphasis on learning and education.
We are looking for someone who is a strong team player, a self-starter, has the desire to make a positive difference in our community, and has a passion for improving patient outcomes.
The schedule for this position varies. Weekday shifts are 9:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. Weekend shifts are 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Pay variable depending on experience.
Job Duties Include (but are not limited to):

Requirements :
• Master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies or a related field from an accredited program.
• Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
• 2 years experience preferred but not required
• Alaska State licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physician Assistant.
• Strong leadership
• Basic computer skills
