Hourly Wage: $34 - $40 per hour

Mermi Music Academy is a modern, vibrant music school located in the heart of North Vancouver, easily accessible by public transit. We offer a warm, cozy, and fully-equipped teaching environment where teamwork is key. Our teachers are part of our school family, and we regularly host fun events and recitals, making our academy an exciting and rewarding workplace. We are seeking a passionate and energetic Piano Teacher to join our team and bring their love for teaching to our students.
What We’re Looking For:
We are looking for a talented piano instructor who loves working with children, and have the following qualifications, we’d love to hear from you:
+4 years of teaching experience
You enjoy teaching kids (ages 4+), have great patience, and excel at creating a fun, interactive learning environment.
Strong English speaking and communication skills are essential.
Bonus Skills: If you have the ability to teach additional instruments, such as violin or Cello and etc. , that would be an incredible bonus! We offer higher pay for teachers who can provide lessons in multiple instruments.
Basic computer skills to use our school management software.
A police background check is required.
Opportunity to perform at our music events.
We prefer teachers who are active and energetic in their teaching approach, including off-the-bench activities and hands-on lessons.
Responsibilities:
Develop lesson plans tailored to individual student needs and learning styles.
Teach piano techniques, music theory, and performance skills to students of all ages.
Foster a positive and encouraging classroom atmosphere.
Regularly assess student progress and provide feedback for improvement.
Collaborate with parents to discuss progress and address concerns.
Organize recitals and performances to showcase student achievements.
