Alex Fraser is Australia’s largest manufacturer in recycled construction materials and an innovative asphalt production and paving company. We transform mountains of rubble into high-grade civil construction materials, recovering these precious resources while dramatically reducing the carbon footprint of major projects.
Alex Fraser Group has an opportunity for a Picker Labourer to join our team based at our Archerfield Recycling Facility, QLD. This role requires that the successful candidate to be available for morning shifts and weekends where required.
Hours are 6:00am to 4:30pm Monday-Friday and 7am to 12 midday Saturdays.
In Your New Role With Us, You Will
Work as part of a small team on a concrete recycling plant at Archerfield
Stand near a moving conveyor belt picking in a small hut
Routine plant maintenance such as greasing rollers, changing screens and general housekeeping using shovels and brooms
Operation of a variety of machinery (Excavators, bobcats, water truck etc.)
Actively participate in daily toolboxes
This Role Is a Great Fit If You Are
Physically fit
Good mechanical skills and quick hands are essential
Prepared to wear appropriate safety equipment during the shift: hard hat, respirator, safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves and long-sleeved high visibility clothing
The position requires the ability to set high standards for safety, productivity, and efficiency
Ideally experienced in mobile plant operation (an advantage, but training will be provided)
Own reliable transport
