We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Pipefitter Helper to join our team. In this role, you will assist experienced pipefitters in the installation, maintenance, and repair of piping systems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and be eager to learn the trade while contributing to various projects in a safe and efficient manner.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the installation and assembly of piping systems according to blueprints and schematics.
- Utilize hand tools and equipment to cut, thread, and bend pipes as required.
- Support pipefitters in welding tasks, ensuring proper techniques are followed for optimal results.
- Help rig materials and equipment safely for transportation within job sites.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency.
- Follow all safety protocols while performing tasks, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and ensure timely project completion.
Qualifications
- Basic understanding of blueprint reading and schematics related to piping systems.
- Familiarity with HVAC systems is a plus.
- Mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools is essential.
- Ability to plumb accurately and utilize calipers for precise measurements.
- Willingness to learn welding techniques under the guidance of experienced professionals.
- Strong work ethic with a commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
- Previous experience in construction or a related field is advantageous but not required.
