Hourly rate + Service Charge & Tips OTE £15.50 per hour
We are seeking an experienced and passionate pizza chef to join our team at Padrino Rochester, a busy and vibrant independent Italian restaurant. In the team as the pizza chef, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking delicious, authentic Neapolitan-style pizzas using our stone oven along with pasta, mains and desserts.
Key responsibilities:
Preparing pizza dough, sauces, and toppings
Stretching and shaping dough by hand
Cooking pizzas to perfection in our stone-oven
Ensuring quality and consistency of pizza products
Maintaining a clean and organized kitchen and work area
Collaborating with kitchen team to ensure smooth service
Managing inventory and ordering supplies
Requirements:
Minimum 1 years of experience as a pizza chef in a busy kitchen
Knowledge of Neapolitan-style pizza-making techniques and stone oven cooking
Familiarity with kitchen equipment and tools
Attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under pressure
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Strong communication and teamwork abilities
Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
Minimum Food Safety Level 2
Able to commute Rochester in working hours
