Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Pizza Cook to join our vibrant restaurant team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality pizzas and other menu items, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment. Responsibilities
Prepare pizza dough, toppings, and sauces according to established recipes and standards
Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently to assemble and cook pizzas
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety regulations
Handle food with proper hygiene practices, ensuring quality and safety standards are met
Use POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing and transactions
Manage multiple orders efficiently, demonstrating strong time management skills during busy periods
Assist in food preparation for other menu items as needed
Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales
Ensure proper food handling and sanitation procedures are followed at all times
Skills
Experience in food preparation, food service, or restaurant environments preferred
Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, for accurate order entry and cashiering
Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
Basic math skills for cash handling, measuring ingredients, and managing transactions
Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices in a commercial kitchen
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders simultaneously
Kitchen experience or prior food industry background is highly desirable
Ability to upsell menu items effectively to enhance guest satisfaction and sales performance
Pay: From $17.85 per hour
Ability to commute/relocate:
Duncan, BC V9L 2P6: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
