He angitūtanga: The opportunity
Bring energy, structure and creativity to our public spaces.

Auckland’s waterfront and city spaces host some of the most exciting and impactful events and activations in the region—from cultural celebrations and community activations to one-off public gatherings. As our new Placemaking Logistics Advisor, you’ll help make these events possible by overseeing their safe, smooth, and engaging delivery.

This role is part of the Placemaking team within our Community Engagement unit. You’ll also play a key role in refining systems and processes to support the evolving needs of both council and community.

This is a hands-on, relationship-based role. You’ll bring together a broad network—internal partners, suppliers, service providers and community members—to help shape welcoming public experiences. Your mix of operational know-how and calm under pressure will ensure high-quality delivery that reflects Auckland Council’s values.
