We’re looking for a Planned Maintenance Technician to join our team at SSI SCHAEFER – a global leader in intralogistics and automated storage solutions. Based on-site with a key client, you’ll support the maintenance, reliability, and performance of cutting-edge automated warehouse systems.

What You’ll Be Doing

· Performing preventative maintenance and system overhauls both on-site and in the workshop.

· Responding to breakdowns and shutdowns, ensuring rapid resolution to minimise downtime.

· Completing work orders and updates using CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System).

· Ensuring all repairs meet OEM standards and are completed safely and efficiently.

· Assisting with training and onboarding of new technicians.

· Working with our international Helpdesk and R&D teams to resolve technical or design-related issues.

· Maintaining accurate records of spare parts usage and recommending inventory level adjustments.

· Participating in team meetings, site audits, and continuous improvement processes such as SWMS, Take5, 5S, and setup documentation.

· Supporting stocktake, goods receiving, and packing in the maintenance stores area.

· Promoting and contributing to a strong safety culture at all times.

What You’ll Bring

· Strong mechanical aptitude

· Certifications in Working from Heights, Rescue from Heights, and First Aid.

· A minimum of 5 years' experience in automation or a similar trade-based maintenance environment.

· Strong ability in fault finding and diagnosis on mechatronic systems.

· Confidence interpreting technical drawings and manuals.

· Skilled in using Computerised Maintenance software and general computer literacy.

· High level of attention to detail, organisational skills, and commitment to process.

· Strong communication and teamwork abilities, with a customer-first mindset.
