Here’s what you’ll be up to…

As a Planning Information Officer within the City Planning Team your role you will be to:

maintain accurate and up‑to‑date information within our planning and property database systems
prepare, review and dispatch 10.7 Planning Certificates in line with legislative and organisational requirements
provide high‑quality customer service for basic planning enquiries
assist with a range of administrative and office support tasks, supporting team members

What are we looking for?

We are looking for someone that has experience using Council property databases and systems, as well as a demonstrated understanding of NSW planning legislation. You may be an experienced planning information officer or someone starting out in your planning career.

As a planning information officer in the City Planning team, we are looking for someone who has the following skills:

Diploma in Town Planning or equivalent, or significant experience in land coding and signing 10.7 Planning Certificates
Demonstrated experience using databases (e.g. Technology One Property, GIS, sharepoint, etc.)
Demonstrated knowledge of zoning and planning legislation
Ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines
Ability to work in a team environment
Having an eye for detail, highly organised and proactive with their work

You will be required to undertake employment checks, which may include a Criminal History Check, Qualification Check, Working with Children Check, Medical Declaration and/or a Functional Test, as relevant to the position for which you have applied.

Where a Criminal History Check is required and has returned a result that indicates disclosable court outcomes, you will be required to provide a copy of the report to Penrith City Council, for review, to progress through the recruitment process.
