JOB DETAILS
The key responsibilities will include:
• Germplasm collection, evaluation & characterization based on different geography/segment of the business states
• Ability to conduct Grow out test for genetic purity & sound knowledge of morphological characters of various crops.
-Master in Basic Hybridization techniques in Field crops, & vegetables.-Skilled in molecular marker development & screening of germplasm & their standardization to identify genotypes.-Basic knowledge of Statistics & Data analysis-Good knowledge of Design experiments like CRD, RBD, LSD & Split plot designs-Maintenance of pedigree record of all the germplasm-Help the marketing team in defining the USP of various private label products based on morphological characters.-Influence and engage with key stakeholders to gather information and drive action in a highly collaborative manner.-Regular interface with operations team to understand current challenges and provide instant solution.
As an ideal candidate you will need:
• A Postgraduate (MSc/PhD) in Genetics & plant breeding with 5 7 years of experience or a fresh candidate with outstanding knowledge of breeding subject.
-In-depth knowledge of crossing with mode of gene expression and their application in different crops.-Deep understanding of various crop segments and ability for development of advance lines, in various crops-A sound techno commercial skills with knowledge of market segmentation oof multiple crop in multiple states and need of these segmentations.-Excellent communication and presentation skills and ability to conduct technical training of our crop advisors.- team player with demonstrated skills about working in a team environment and result oriented attitude.-Must be having great interpersonal skills and networking with internal and external stakeholders especially, scientists in state agricultural universities and ICAR institutes across the country
