Our Plant Director Will
Manage the Plant
• Ensure delivery to customers.
• Negotiate and make decisions regarding the site production program.
• Achieve site objectives fixed by the BU management and coordinate BU actions
• Mobilize his/her teams focusing on short and medium-term objectives to be reached.
• Set and monitor individual and team objectives.
• Develop organization and operating modes, encouraging more responsibility and autonomy to improve quality, productivity, flexibility and reactivity.
• Guarantee the interface with site support functions and the BU.
• Optimize costs for his/her APUs and more globally, for the site.
• Manage the implementation of the safety management system for his/her site and check the application of safety rules.
• Make all operational decisions in his/her field and according to his/her scope of responsibilities.
Support daily activity.
• Ensure communication within the site and associated units.
• Promote collective interest rather than individual interests.
• Know the problems encountered by everyone, including operators.
• Listen to and help employees to understand why they are performing certain tasks, help them to identify the difficulties of their teams and to analyze problems.
• Help employees to perform tasks by giving tailored advice or by constructively questioning current performance.
Energize and develop the production system.
• Organize new customer requirements for his/her site, transform his/her APU to adapt it to new requirements and develop either means, organization or personnel skills in line with HR policy.
• Monitor the performance of suppliers and coordinate association action plans with the purchasing department.
• Improve overall productivity of processes and flows.
• Prepare the APU for product/process developments.
• Manage continuous improvement (productivity, quality, organization, security, environment, use of lean tools, tidiness and cleanliness).
• Encourage everyone to contribute to progress (suggestions system, progress projects: 5S, SMED, TPM, KANBAN, GRP, etc.).
• Attain annual progress targets for his/her APU within the context of medium-term site and BU directives.
• Structure, manage and optimize customer/supplier relations with support departments.
Manage economic matters.
• With the management controller and the APU manager, analyze accounting discrepancies concerning forecast/actual results.
• Implement action plans to rectify anomalies and check their effectiveness.
• Decide on action plans employed to attain and surpass objectives fixed by the BU Management team and indicators
