About LEXX CONSTRUCTION
Established in 2015, LEXX CONSTRUCTION is one of Melbourne's recognised specialists in commercial plastering, carpentry, and cladding. We deliver high-quality interior and exterior construction solutions across commercial properties, with expertise spanning suspended ceilings, wall partitions, plastering, compressed fibre cement sheet cladding, and ornamental cornices. Our team is the cornerstone of our success — every member receives ongoing education and training to meet project requirements and uphold the most current industry regulations and standards. As we continue to grow our project pipeline, we are seeking three experienced tradespeople to join our team on a full-time basis.
Positions Available
We are currently recruiting for the following full-time roles:
Plasterer (Wall & Ceiling)
Renderer
Carpenter
Key Responsibilities
Plasterer (Wall & Ceiling)
Apply base coat, finish coat, and texture to internal walls and ceilings across commercial projects
Install and set plasterboard (drywall) and suspended ceiling systems to a high standard
Prepare surfaces including patching, sanding, and priming
Install ornamental cornices and decorative plaster features where required
Read and interpret building plans and specifications
Renderer
Apply cement, acrylic, and texture render to internal and external surfaces
Prepare and treat substrates including cleaning, priming, and applying bonding agents
Install render systems including compressed fibre cement sheet cladding, foam mouldings, expansion joints, and beading
Mix render materials to correct ratios and consistency
Ensure all finishes meet client specifications and quality standards
Carpenter
Carry out framing, wall partition installation, fixing, and finishing carpentry works
Install suspended ceiling frameworks including metal concealed, acoustic tile, pinboard, and timber panel systems
Install doors, windows, frames, skirting, architraves, and joinery
Read and interpret architectural drawings and construction documents
Work collaboratively with other trades across active commercial sites
Requirements
The following requirements apply to all three positions:
Relevant trade qualification preferred
Minimum 1 year of post-trade experience, preferably in commercial construction
Ability to work both independently and as part of a structured team
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality finishes aligned with current industry standards
Willingness to undertake ongoing training and adhere to company values and procedures
Full compliance with Work Health & Safety (WHS) requirements on site
