Mō te tūnga | About the role
We are currently looking for a Platform Specialist, who is a generalist skilled in infrastructure, to join our Digital Services team on a permanent basis. In this role you will be responsible for maintaining an in-depth knowledge of the Open Polytechnic infrastructure and applications, and how they integrate with other systems and interfaces to external systems. You will be working in a modern environment with our infrastructure being a mix of Infrastructure as a Service, Azure and O365 which is mostly Microsoft Windows based.
As a technically confident person, the Platform Specialist:
Has no problem leading from the front and openly sharing knowledge
Helps to improve and embed processes to increase operational support maturity
Supports the delivery of technical project infrastructure components
Has excellent time management, planning and organisational skills
Is diligent, solutions focused and genuinely enjoys helping others
Can work autonomously and as part of a team.

The ideal candidate will have
Strong knowledge of Networking and Firewalls (Allied Telesis & Checkpoint preferred)
Exposure to Azure networking
Knowledge of O365 services e.g. Office365, MS365, Azure AD, SharePoint Online, Intune, Teams
Knowledge and experience in Microsoft Cloud Security
Technical certifications in relevant industry technologies
Great work commitment, tenacity, resilience and a pragmatic approach
