About the Role:
We are hiring on behalf of our client in the Defence Sector for a skilled PLC Software Developer. The ideal candidate should have strong experience with Siemens or ABB PLCs and be well-versed in ladder logic, communication protocols, and sensor integration.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop, test, and maintain PLC programs (Siemens/ABB).
• Design ladder logic programs for industrial automation.
• Integrate communication protocols: serial, Ethernet, and CAN.
• Manage I/O systems and connect sensors (pressure, flow, etc.).
• Handle signal conversion using I to V and V to I modules.
• Create and implement reusable functional blocks.
• Configure alarms for system monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with engineering teams on automation projects.
• Maintain documentation for systems and code.
• Support SDLC and STLC processes in development.
• Ensure adherence to safety and industry standards.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Automation, or related field.
• 2-4 years of PLC programming experience.
• Proficiency in Siemens and/or ABB PLCs.
• Strong understanding of ladder logic and sensor integration.
