If you're a master plumber looking for something new, the City of Fitchburg has a position open for you! With schedule flexibility, this position will be responsible for performing Master Plumber duties for the Water Utility Department.
This is a limited term position that offers up to 20 hours a week between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m, Monday through Saturday. Once a schedule has been established, hours will remain the same for regular appointments relating to job duties.

• Responsible for removing/replacing and programming forty-three (43) 1.5” and forty-five (45) 2” water meters.
• Responsible for plumbing modifications necessary to replace meters.
• Communicate and inform customers on meter change out process.
• Drive and operate City vehicles.
• Communicate with supervisor on process, progress, material needed, schedule, delays, etc.
• Other such duties as assigned by Utility Supervisor.
Education and/or Experience Requirements:
• High School Diploma or Equivalency.
• 18 years of age.
• 5 years minimum experience in the plumbing field.
Certifications:
• Valid Wisconsin Drivers Licenses.
• Master Plumber Certification.

• Skilled in best plumbing practices.
• Mechanically inclined.

• Ability to use reason and judgment in dealing with all kinds of people in different ways.
• Ability to effectively communicate with customers.

The facilities department at the Prescott Campus is seeking a
dedicated and skilled plumber to join our team. In this role, you
will be responsible for ensuring the seamless operation and safety
of plumbing systems, including water supply, drainage, waste
disposal, and gas lines. If you are an experienced professional
with a strong background in plumbing, maintenance, and safety
compliance, we encourage you to apply!
Schedule for this position is generally Mon- Friday 0700-1530
On-call as needed for emergencies 24/7.
Hours may differ depending on workload and campus needs

Qualifications
Education requirements:
• High school (or GED) level ability in spelling, grammar, basic
composition, and math
• Read and comprehend instructions, write information, and
complete simple forms.
Required certifications, skills, knowledge and
abilities:
• Licensed plumber in the state of Arizona
• OSHA 10
• Forklift experience
• Boom lift experience
• Must have at least three (3) year’s experience in
mechanical/maintenance
• Basic mechanical skills in use of hand and power tools
