Overview
Join our dynamic construction team as a skilled Plumber, where you'll play a vital role in installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems across diverse commercial and residential projects. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work on challenging construction sites, utilizing your technical expertise and mechanical knowledge to deliver high-quality results. As a key contributor, you'll ensure that plumbing systems meet safety standards and client specifications while fostering a collaborative and safety-conscious work environment.
Duties
Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, and appliances in new construction, remodeling, and renovation projects
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute plumbing layouts
Use hand tools such as wrenches, pipe threaders, and pipe cutters to assemble and install plumbing components
Operate power tools safely to cut, drill, and assemble piping systems efficiently
Perform welding tasks when necessary to join metal pipes or fittings securely
Conduct heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely across construction sites
Apply basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and layout planning
Read schematics for HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) systems when involved in integrated mechanical projects
Collaborate with carpenters, electricians, and other trades to ensure seamless project execution
Follow safety protocols diligently to maintain a secure work environment at all times
Assist with remodeling projects by installing or upgrading plumbing fixtures and systems
Maintain detailed documentation of work performed and materials used for project records
Skills
Proven experience in construction plumbing with a solid understanding of plumbing codes and standards
Strong knowledge of construction site procedures and safety practices
Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams related to plumbing and mechanical systems
Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot issues quickly and effectively
Skilled in pipe threading, welding techniques, and assembly of piping systems
Familiarity with the use of hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment on construction sites
Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and layout tasks
Experience with HVAC systems integration is a plus
Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) or ability to obtain one is advantageous for site transportation needs
Maintenance Person experience or remodeling background enhances versatility in project scope
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining proper ergonomics
Knowledge of schematics for mechanical systems including HVAC is beneficial
