Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Heating Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in heating systems installation, maintenance, and repair. This role requires a hands-on approach and the ability to work with various tools and equipment. The Heating Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that heating systems operate efficiently and safely in residential and commercial settings.

Duties

Install, maintain, and repair heating systems, including boilers, radiators, and underfloor heating.
Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and performance standards.
Diagnose faults in heating systems and implement effective solutions.
Utilise hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to perform repairs and installations.
Assemble components of heating systems according to specifications.
Collaborate with other tradespeople such as plumbers and carpenters as necessary.
Perform heavy lifting as required during installations or repairs.
Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
Experience
Candidates should have a background in mechanical engineering or a related field. Previous experience as a Heating Engineer is preferred but not essential. The following skills are required or considered advantageous:

Proficiency in commercial driving for transportation of equipment.
Ability to plumb effectively within heating systems.
Strong mechanical knowledge relevant to heating technologies.
Experience in welding for system repairs or installations.
Basic maths skills for calculations related to system specifications.
Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in the trade.
