About the Role:
Queensland Rail currently has several fixed-term vacancies to support our SEQ Facilities team, for both south and north Brisbane teams.
As a Plumber at QR, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repairs to our Facilities and Heritage assets (houses, depots, stations, equipment rooms).
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
Undertaking work activities and creating notifications using EAMS applications for the continual maintenance of the Facilities asset to meet requirements.
Ensuring that work carried out is in accordance with the National Plumbing and Drainage Code of Australia and all other statutory regulations.
Supervising supporting work contractors, supporting other areas such as facilities trades in the delivery of multi-trade works.
Proactively developing skills and knowledge required for the rail environment and associated with trade qualifications through on-the-job training courses.
Traveling to different work locations working alone or as part of a team.
This opportunity works across a +-day fortnight and may involve overtime weekend work.
Working the current roster, a Plumber earns between $+5,000 - $110,000 + superannuation.
About You:
You should have substantial knowledge of plumbing work in accordance with the National Construction Code and Queensland Plumbing Codes, regulations, and acts.
You must be able to work semi-autonomously and within a team environment.
