Title of the position: Plumber Helper Lead Hand
Job duties:
Providing support and assistance to licensed plumbers;
Independently assessing the support needs of each project on a case-by-case basis;
Identifying potential issues and solutions within the scope of the responsibilities of a plumber helper;
Understanding the needs of the licensed plumbers on site to provide adequate and timely support and direct new plumber helpers accordingly;
Training and guiding new plumber helpers on site to ensure that their work is completed in accordance with company quality standards;
Directing plumber helper workflow to ensure work is completed smoothly and efficiently;
Completing drywalling and painting to close holes in walls;
Operating equipment for drywalling, plumbing, and painting as required;
Erecting and dismantling forms, scaffolding, ramps, shoring barricades as required;
Mixing, pouring and spreading material compounds as required;
Loading and unloading construction and plumbing materials and equipment;
Moving plumbing, construction, and other work materials and equipment to designated areas on the job site;
Maintaining a clean workspace at the job site by removing and clearing rubble and disposing of rubble according to company policies.
Terms of employment: Full-time, permanent, 40hrs/week

Wage: $36.00/hour, may be subject to periodic raise or bonuses

Skills Requirements:
Education: Secondary school, WHMIS certification
Work experience: 2 years of relevant work experience in construction with one year as a plumber helper
Valid driver’s license required
