Duties
Assist licensed plumbers with installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings
Prepare work sites by measuring, cutting, and assembling pipes using hand tools and power tools
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to support project execution
Use basic math skills to measure and calculate materials needed for various tasks
Support with the installation of fixtures such as sinks, toilets, and water heaters
Maintain a clean and organized work environment by properly storing tools and disposing of debris
Learn to operate specialized equipment such as welding machines or HVAC components under supervision
Follow safety protocols diligently to ensure a safe working environment for all team members
Skills
Mechanical knowledge related to plumbing systems and general construction practices
Experience or familiarity with carpentry, HVAC systems, or maintenance work is a plus
Proficiency with hand tools (wrenches, screwdrivers) and power tools (drills, saws)
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
Basic math skills for measurements and calculations required during installations or repairs
Understanding of schematics and assembly instructions for plumbing components
Welding experience or knowledge is advantageous but not mandatory
Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving abilities
Good physical condition with the ability to lift heavy materials and work in confined spaces
