Plumber Journeyman / Med-Gas Plumbers

Job description
Position Summary

Our continued growth has resulted in the need for experienced plumbers or med gas plumbers. You will support large scale commercial and industrial construction projects by installing plumbing systems.

Key Responsibilities:
• Commercial plumbing installation from underground/rough-ins, stack out to trim outs on large scale commercial and industrial construction projects such as, healthcare, government, educational, manufacturing, data centers and others.
• Utilize and interpret blueprints to determine how/where to install plumbing systems.
• Measure, mark dimensions and lay out material to be installed using tools such as lasers, rulers, calculators, and squares transit lasers.
• Solder, braze with oxygen & acetylene, use glue and primer for CPVC/PVC, cast iron, poly pipe, plex pipe.
• Install hanger assemblies for piping using unistrut, nuts washers, and clevis hangers.
• Ensure that efficiency is maximized while fabricating and installing Plumbing systems.
• Use of hand/power tools.
• Install systems according to specifications and appropriate trade/building codes.
• Perform other related duties or special projects, as assigned.

Work Qualifications:
• 2 + years of commercial plumbing experience
• Current / valid applicable license in Texas (e.g., Journeyman License, Master License, or Med Gas)
• Experience leading / coaching an apprentice and/or helper.

Preferred Skills
• OSHA 10 hour or OSHA 30
• Medical Gas Certification endorsement (if applying for med gas), or ability to obtain.

Additional Requirements
• Requires basic mechanical aptitude, mathematical and English language skills.
• Complies and promotes company Safety Policy
• Regular and punctual attendance.
• Ability to stand, squat, bend, climb, stoop and comfortably lift up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to pass a full background screening that includes a criminal background, drug test, and physical ability test.

Pay: $34.00 - $42.00 per hour
