Overview:
A Plumber installs, repairs, and maintains piping systems, fixtures, and related equipment used for water distribution, drainage, gas, and heating systems. Key Responsibilities
Install, repair, and maintain water supply lines, drainage systems, sewage lines, fixtures, and plumbing appliances.
Diagnose plumbing issues such as leaks, blockages, and malfunctioning equipment.
Install and repair faucets, sinks, toilets, showers, water heaters, garbage disposals, pumps, and water filtration systems.
Read and interpret blueprints, building plans, and specifications to determine layout of plumbing systems.
Assemble, secure, and test pipe connections using soldering, threading, welding, and PVC techniques.
Inspect plumbing systems for code compliance, safety, and proper operation.
Perform routine maintenance and recommend system improvements or replacements.
Work with contractors, property managers, and homeowners to coordinate installation or repair work.
Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
Follow all OSHA safety guidelines and local plumbing codes.
