Job Description
In this role, you will be expected to:
Interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems and materials required
Setting out and installing hot and cold-water systems and associated equipment
Installing water-based fire protections systems, including fire hydrants, hose reels and sprinkler systems
Assembling and installing mechanical services plant, air handling and conditioning equipment and small-bore heating systems
Installing sewerage and effluent pumping equipment and disposal systems
Installing below-ground drainage systems and associated ground support systems
Installing gas appliances, flues and pressure regulating devices
Fabricating and installing metal roofing, rainwater goods and flashings
We are looking for candidates with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes. You’ll need to communicate effectively with your supervisor, take ownership of your responsibilities, and contribute positively to the team environment.
Minimum Experience Required:
At least 3 years of experience or a trade qualification (or higher) in a similar role as a Plumber Pipefitter, carrying out typical new construction, repair, or maintenance duties, or hold a trade qualification or higher. You must be able to provide references to verify this experience.
Pay & Conditions:
Hourly rate: $27 – $35 (waged)
Hours of work: Minimum 30 hours per week, up to 55 hours depending on project requirements
Workdays: Monday to Saturday
Locations: Roles available across Northland, Auckland, Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Hawkes Bay, Wellington, Manawatu/Horowhenua, Canterbury, Otago, Southland, Marlborough, Tasman and West Coast.
For those willing to travel between regions, accommodation and other allowances will be provided.
