Position Overview:

Tamatta Mining & Construction is recruiting for one of our esteemed clients seeking dedicated and hardworking individuals for an immediate opening as a plumber at a fly-in camp in the breathtaking region of Terrace, British Columbia. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a stunning environment while contributing to important projects in the mining and construction industry.

Responsibilities

Perform plumbing and general maintenance to gas appliances and lines

Maintain plumbing systems, fixtures, drinking water treatment and distribution system

Practice and promote company environmental, health, safety, and operational policies and procedures

Maintain a daily log of activities and system logs as required

Perform other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the supervisor which may include duties and labour outside the trade(s)

Work cooperatively as a member of the Team

Ensure that safety issues are reported and promptly remedied

Demonstrate safety leadership within a team environment and promote environmental awareness in all work or task-related duties

Maintain a high standard of performance in your duties

Other duties may be assigned from time to time as required by the Company.

Required Knowledge & Experience

Minimum of 2-3 years working in a construction field/camp position.

Certified Journeyman Plumber (Red Seal)

Gasfitter “B” Ticket considered an asset

HVAC and/or Refrigeration experience or certification is a definite asset to the position

Solid verbal and written communication skills in English.

Ability to work a rotation schedule and a dynamic schedule.

Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule.

Physically able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.

Able to walk and stand for long periods of time and perform physical labor.

Ability to maintain a high level of performance over a 10 - 12-hour shift.

Preferred Licensing & Certifications:

Standard First Aid Certification.

WHIMS Certification.

Previous experience working in remote camp setting.

Proficient in all aspects of plumbing repair and replacement.
