Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Plumber / Apprentice to join our construction and maintenance team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and experience in plumbing systems, with the ability to interpret blueprints and schematics. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, including new installations, repairs, and maintenance of plumbing systems across residential, commercial, and industrial settings. Candidates should be comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment, ensuring all work meets safety standards and quality expectations.
Responsibilities
Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, and appliances in accordance with blueprints and schematics
Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to ensure accurate installation and repairs
Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other construction tools efficiently and safely
Perform routine maintenance on plumbing systems to prevent future issues
Collaborate with other trades such as carpentry and HVAC to complete projects effectively
Conduct inspections to identify potential problems or safety hazards within plumbing systems
Maintain detailed records of work performed and materials used
Follow all safety protocols and building codes during installation and repair processes
Requirements
Proven experience in plumbing, construction, or related trades with a solid understanding of mechanical systems
Knowledge of carpentry, HVAC systems, welding, and general maintenance is a plus
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and schematics reading is essential
Basic math skills for measurements and calculations necessary for installations or repairs
Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various environments
Physical ability to lift heavy materials and work in confined spaces or at heights as needed
Relevant certifications or licenses are preferred but not mandatory depending on project requirements

Pay: $17.20-$30.00 per hour
