Plumbing Dispatcher
Location: Fredericton, NB
Company: Leachmans Plumbing & Heating
Leachmans Plumbing & Heating is growing, and we’re looking for an organized, customer-focused Plumbing Dispatcher to join our team. In this role, you’ll be the link between our customers and our technicians—ensuring service calls are scheduled efficiently, handled professionally, and completed to the highest standard.
What You’ll Do:
· Answer incoming service calls and respond to customer inquiries in a friendly, professional manner
· Maintain an accurate account of all customer contact information
· Schedule and dispatch plumbing technicians for service calls, installations, and emergencies
· Prioritize jobs based on urgency, location, and technician availability
· Maintain accurate schedules in our dispatch software
· Communicate job details, location, and special instructions to technicians
· Monitor job progress, updating customers on arrival times or changes
· Coordinate with technicians on parts, materials, and job status
· Track and document all work orders—both pending and completed
· Handle after-hours or emergency work orders and ensure timely follow-ups
· Support compliance with company procedures, safety standards, and customer service expectations
· Other duties as assigned
What We’re Looking For:
· Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Proficiency with scheduling/dispatch software and Outlook
· Ability to stay calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment
· Knowledge of plumbing services and terminology (asset, but not required)
· Previous dispatching or customer service experience (preferred)
