Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Plumbing Engineer to join our growing team. This role will involve close collaboration with our product and software development teams to ensure that our AI-driven solutions align with industry standards for plumbing design in building SaaS products. This is an ideal position for a plumbing engineer with a strong background in building system design, plumbing processes, and industry regulations, coupled with a passion for emerging technology. You'll work alongside product managers, developers, and designers to ensure our solutions meet user needs, enhance performance, and comply with plumbing standards.
Note: This is a fully remote role, open to applicants globally.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with product managers and software engineers to ensure our SaaS solutions comply with industry standards for plumbing system design, performance, and safety.
• Provide technical expertise on plumbing engineering principles to guide the development of AI-powered tools that address challenges in water supply, drainage, and MEP coordination.
• Review and analyze software designs to ensure adherence to plumbing industry codes, regulations, and best practices.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to define product requirements that align with the needs of end-users, including plumbing engineers, contractors, and facility managers.
• Stay informed on current trends, standards, and regulations in plumbing engineering, offering recommendations to improve product design and functionality.
• Support the product team in translating plumbing design requirements into practical software features that enhance system efficiency, clash detection, and resource management.
• Assist in testing and validating new software features to ensure they provide real value to customers and meet industry expectations.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Plumbing Engineering, or a related field, with a strong interest in technology and SaaS development.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in plumbing system design, including water supply, drainage, and sanitation, with an emphasis on building projects.
• Familiarity with plumbing codes, standards (e.g., IPC, ASPE), and regulations.
• Experience with BIM tools and MEP coordination is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a critical approach to how software can address challenges in the plumbing industry.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
