The Plumbing Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for plumbing projects, ensuring profitability and alignment with client requirements
This role involves analyzing blueprints, specifications, and proposals to determine project scope, costs, and resources
Project Estimation:
Analyze project documents, including blueprints, specifications, and RFPs, to identify the project scope and requirements
Develop detailed cost estimates, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor expenses
Prepare and submit bid proposals within established deadlines
Leverage experience in 5-over-2 construction to create precise estimates for plumbing installations in multifamily buildings
Vendor and Subcontractor Coordination:
Obtain and evaluate quotes from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing
Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors for reliable cost inputs
Budgeting and Value Engineering:
Work with project teams to identify cost-saving opportunities and propose alternative materials or methods
Ensure estimates are aligned with project budgets and financial goals
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain detailed records of all estimates, including assumptions and calculations
Generate reports summarizing project costs, risks, and potential profitability
Client and Stakeholder Collaboration:
Communicate with clients to clarify project requirements and address questions about estimates
