We are looking for a Plumbing Support Technician who will have the opportunity to support experienced Plumbing Technicians in a wide range of plumbing projects to learn and grow your knowledge and skill set. You will get to collaborate with Plumbing Technicians learning the ins and outs of plumbing and getting hands on experience while building a long term career.

AN ENERGETIC WORKER WHO GOES ABOVE & BEYOND: You are highly motivated and shows a strong work ethic with the ability to sustain a steady pace of work over extended periods, without becoming fatigued or losing focus. You are willing to be flexible and adapt to changing circumstances to ensure that the job is completed efficiently and effectively and knows that working late hours, coming in early, or working on weekends may be necessary to meet a deadline or complete a project.
A CONSTANT LEARNER: You ask questions and show a commitment to learning about the plumbing trade and ask for feedback on how to improve processes if needed. You are open to how you can be a resource to the Plumbing Technicians.
A COLLABORATIVE TEAM PLAYER: You show an ability to work well with others and ask questions to gain a better understanding of how the role fits into the larger picture. You are able to follow directions and carry out actions delegated by supervisors and customers by providing the highest level of support to Plumbing Technicians and other team members.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES MAY INCLUDE:
Within the first 30 days and ongoing:
● Takes the time to familiarize themselves with RotoCo LLC and Roto-Rooter’s service history. Learns the core services and how RotoCo LLC differentiates itself from competitors.
● Begins training to learn plumbing skills, company vehicle maintenance, driving requirements, communication, software systems, and safety protocols.
● By 30 days, begins collaboration with Plumbing Technicians to provide support for 10-15 jobs monthly.
3 months and ongoing:
● Demonstrates the capacity to continue to work independently in the role and retain knowledge acquired from all RotoCo LLC training.
● Operates the hydro jetter to effectively clean and clear pipes and drains with minimal supervision.
● Begins the process of learning more complicated plumbing tasks, building on the foundational knowledge and skills acquired.
6 months and ongoing:
● Is able to perform some basic plumbing repairs, such as sewer repairs and water line repairs, with minimal supervision.
● Has learned the operation of drain cleaning equipment using a picote, to effectively clean and clear drains.
● Learns and gains knowledge in trenchless pipe replacement by shadowing more experienced team members and becomes increasingly more familiar with the process and is able to perform some portions independently.
12 months and ongoing:
● Possesses the knowledge and skills to continue to consistently mentor new junior support technicians.
● Independently performs basic plumbing tasks and sewer repairs, such as water line replacements with a high level of efficiency.
● Meets with the Branch Manager to discuss successes from the year and opportunities for growth.
EDUCATION, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE:
✔ 1+ year experience in the service and repair industry highly preferred, drain cleaning experience (jetter tool, water heaters, toilets pumps) preferred
✔ Experience with field service management software, Service Titan preferred
✔ Valid California driver’s license and clean driving record a must
✔ Able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen required
✔ Ability to work weekends and evenings on occasion required
✔ Able to lift up to 60lbs a must
Age Requirements:
Must be at least 24 years old

COMPENSATION & COMPANY BENEFITS INCLUDE:
Compensation range is $17.00 - $25.00/30.00 hourly based on skills and experience level.
