Responsibilities
The Plumbing Technician is responsible for the installation of plumbing fixtures and occasional residential service plumbing for single-family or multi-family residential customers
Responsible for pick-up, delivery and installation of residential plumbing fixtures, such as Water Heaters, Dishwashers, Disposals, Toilets, Sinks, Faucets, etc
to the customer’s satisfaction
Manage schedule, communicate frequently with customers, provide excellent customer service, provide tutorials to customers on operation of installed item
Responsible for all field administrative functions to ensure job is complete such as, documenting install, uploading photos, change orders and otherwise ensuring all installs are in compliance with the Installations SOP
Maintain a safe and clean work environment, provide quality work, avoid damage to any company or customer property, maintain and track all equipment, supplies and tools
Responsible for daily, local travel to customer sites in assigned company vehicle
Requires lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds

Position Summary:

The Department of Housing, Buildings and Construction enforces statewide standards for building construction. Division of Plumbing is responsible for conducting plumbing inspections and permitting plumbing installations to ensure compliance with the state plumbing code and the regulations of the department. We are seeking a Plumbing Inspector I to join our team!
Key Responsibilities
• Inspect all plumbing installations and report violation findings.
• Perform preliminary reviews of local plans concerning plumbing and sanitation.
• Maintain files, reports, and permits.
• Issue permits electronically and process payments.
• Monitor licensee statuses and water heater device reporting.
Preferred Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
• Proficient communication skills.
• Possess sufficient technical knowledge of Kentucky State Plumbing Law, Regulations and Code.
• Proven abilities to manage multiple projects.
• Conduct effective research.
• Demonstrates attention to detail.
• High level of customer service.
