The PMO Manager oversees Mouser’s team of Project Managers in Information Services. The PMO Manager is responsible for complete oversight of all projects in IS. This includes forecasting, assigning, planning, leading, tracking and supporting projects and programs throughout all phases of Mouser’s SDLC process. In addition, the PMO Manager will supports and remove impediments for the Project Management, Business Analyst, Software Development and QA teams. The team focuses on delivering solid (internal) customer service while providing comprehensive solutions to support the organization. The Manager will establish relationships and work with Mouser’s Business Managers, IS Managers, Directors and Executives and other department leaders to define, prioritize, and determine funding limitations and staffing requirements.
Accountabilities & Essential Functions
• Enter Manages day-to-day activities in the IS Project Management team to ensure IT programs and projects meet the organization’s goals and requirements. This includes efficiently tracking resource assignments and projects.
• Maintain a strong business acumen in IS and throughout the business and apply it to each assignment.
• Ability to perform business analysis functions which include eliciting and writing requirements.
• Establish and maintain open, fluid and timely communications with all interested parties, stakeholders, and project team members. This could include all levels from Company Executives to individual contributors.
• Proactively implements and provides guidance related to processes and policies.--Be involved in all stages of the project lifecycle, from project request through project close.
• Ensure Mouser’s SDLC is adhered to throughout the project lifecycle.
• Champion, drive and aid in the evolution of Mouser’s project lifecycle within IS including documentation standards and communications.
• Must take initiative to spend time with all user levels. This includes formal meetings, informal meetings, side by sides, etc.
• Act as a mentor and coach to the IS Project Managers, as well as any other IS team members, by providing daily and proactive support in a timely manner.
• Provides guidance and manages resources to include assignment, performance and training.Develops and provides feedback for annual performance reviews. Lead and manage a team of typically 5 or more resources.
• Assists in the interview and evaluation process of potential new hires.
• Work effectively on multiple priorities with strict deliverable dates. Maintains strong relationships with other department leaders to define, prioritize, determine funding limitations and staffing requirements and develop projects and programs.
• Openly communicate with management the progress and issues that encompass the IS department.
