ABOUT CHANGING LIVES PRODUCTIONS:
Changing Lives Productions is the video production company of Dhar Mann Studios, aimed at creating positive content for the social media generation. Our short, motivational videos focused on life, business, and relationships receive over 1 Billion views monthly and have garnered over 60 Billion views on Facebook, YouTube, Instagram and TikTok. BIG PICTURE:
We're looking for an exceptionally skilled Video Podcast Trailer and Clip Editor to join our team. We produce a top-tier video podcast featuring high-profile guests, and we need an editor who can help us transform our long-form conversations into engaging, viral, short cinematic content. The ideal candidate has strong experience editing for high-profile video podcasts and understands how to craft compelling narratives, build emotion, and increase the entertainment value of each episode with minimal direction. This role requires a dedicated and highly motivated individual. Our content inspires and connects with a global audience, and the right candidate will be passionate about the mission behind our work.
HOW YOU’LL SPEND YOUR TIME:
Editing video podcast trailers to create visually compelling hooks and engaging intros for social media and podcast platforms
Creating viral social clips from our podcast video that drive consumption of our long form podcast
Crafting engaging narratives, building emotional arcs, and delivering impactful messages from long-form conversations
Integrating motion graphics, b-roll, sound design, and other visual elements to enhance the storytelling
To be considered for this role, candidates must have demonstrable experience as a story producer and editor on a high-profile podcast. This includes:
Working on a show with a proven audience: Experience on a podcast that consistently ranks in the top 5% of all podcasts, with a minimum of 100,000+ downloads per episode within the first 30 days of release.
Creating viral and engaging content: A track record of producing episodes that have been featured on top podcast charts (e.g., Apple Podcasts, Spotify) and have generated significant social media engagement and media attention.
High-energy editorial experience: A portfolio that showcases exceptional skill in crafting dynamic and compelling narrative arcs, with a specific emphasis on creating high-energy, attention-grabbing intros that hook listeners immediately."
5-10 years of experience editing video content for high-profile podcasts or YouTube channels
High-level understanding of how to edit content specifically for YouTube and other social platforms (e.g., TikTok, Instagram Reels)
Expertise with Adobe Creative Suite, with a primary focus on Adobe Premiere Pro
An instinct for choosing and creating compelling story arcs
An ability to think outside the box, learn quickly, work in a fast-paced environment, and collaborate effectively with a team
The experience to receive footage with minimal direction but still be to craft a highly engaging story
Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality work on tight deadlines.
WHO OVERSEES YOU:
The Editor reports directly to the Post Production Manager
WHERE IT ALL GOES DOWN:
Our Editor will work remotely from home or personal office and will be required to utilize Changing Lives Productions time tracking software to log and submit work hours
WHEN THE MAGIC HAPPENS:
The typical work schedule is Monday - Friday, with schedule flexibility. This position often requires working long hours including nights and weekends.
