The Western Australia Police Force are actively encouraging local regional applicants to apply for the role of Police Auxiliary Officer (Custody Support).
Custody Support Officers help support Police Officers with the safe admission, custody and release of detainees at the Perth Watch House or station lockups.
There are a number of opportunities available at the Perth Watch House and in the following regional locations:
Albany
Broome
Bunbury
Geraldton
Kalgoorlie
Kununurra
Karratha
Northam
Regional positions are offered on a 12-month contract basis from commencement of training. Successful applicants will undertake training at the WA Police Academy, Joondalup (accommodation during training will be provided for regional applicants). Housing is not provided in any of the advertised locations and applicants will be expected to travel within WA on a regular basis as a key component of their duties.
