Details: Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to work across a wide range of policy and financial issues in the ACT Government? Do you want to work in a dynamic and team-oriented environment, helping to provide Government and senior executive with strategic advice, developing and managing budgets, and working on financial reporting issues?
The Finance and Budget Group (FABG) in ACT Treasury – which sits within the Chief Minister, Treasury and Economic Development Directorate (CMTEDD) – is looking for staff to join various teams. We are looking for critical thinkers, team players and strong communicators who can work to tight deadlines across competing priorities.
These positions provide a great opportunity to gain a sophisticated understanding of the machinery of government and budget processes and contribute to delivering the Government’s policy priorities. The policy skills and financial management capabilities you will develop and practice in FABG are highly valued and readily transferable to a range of future career opportunities across the public and private sectors.

Eligibility/Other Requirements
Tertiary qualifications in any field, or equivalent experience, combined with strong written and numeracy skills are highly desirable.
Notes: This is a temporary position available immediately with the possibility of extension up to 12 months and/or permanency. A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months. This position has moved to a new workplace designed for activity-based working (ABW). Under ABW arrangements, officers will not have a designated workstation/desk.
