About the Role

MBIE is seeking three talented Policy Professionals to join our Tourism Policy teams. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on complex and interesting policy issues as we're working to grow our tourism sector.

Key Responsibilities

You will:

Analyse evidence and insights to develop high-quality written advice for Ministers;

Collaborate with colleagues across government and regularly engage with the tourism sector;

Bring a creative approach to problem solving and a strong attention to detail to ensure we continue to produce work of the highest quality.

About the Team

The Tourism Policy teams are the Government's advisors on all things Tourism and Hospitality. We are looking for three Policy Advisors to join our dynamic branch. You will learn and apply your machinery of government skills in the Tourism and Hospitality sector.

Skills and Qualifications Required

To be successful in this role, you will need:

A good base of experience in public policy as a Policy Advisor or similar role;

Logical thinking and problem-solving skills with a healthy level of curiosity;

Knowledge of policy development disciplines and processes;

The ability to build relationships with others and work collaboratively;

Strong analytical skills and clear concise communication skills (written and verbal).
