Job Purpose

Credit Policy Management

Job Responsibilities (JR):

Actionable

Credit Policy Management

Formulation, evaluation, and approval of Retail/Wholesale – Credit Policies and Procedures Manual (CPPM) and related processes.

Addressing Compliance & Audit Requirements through necessary Policy amendments.

Monitoring alignment of underlying credit strategies / product programs developed by Credit Team with the overall risk appetite of the Bank and the norms defined under CPPM.

Evaluation of sub-products/ variants / amendments proposed to be introduced in terms of their alignment with the CPPM

Reviewing robustness of control mechanism put in place for Policy checks configured into the decision management platforms.

Periodical structured review/ monitoring of performance of credit policies in terms of portfolio quality.

Regular structured Credit Monitoring at specific account level.

Coordinating with internal model validation team for time bound review of application behavioural Score Cards, if any, and initiate timely risk action.

Engaging with stakeholders such as Credit Team and providing them actionable feedback / suggestions on necessary tweaking of underlying credit strategy norms.

RBI & Regulatory Compliance

Address the RBI and regulatory audit observations around credit policies.

Educational Qualifications

Key Skills
• Chartered Accountant
• MBA (Finance) from Cat A institutes
• In-depth understanding and hands-on experience of credit policy management of Secured / Unsecured Products falling under SME segment.
• In depth understanding of related control processes.
• Knowledge of Competition & Current trends in the given lending segment.
• Updated knowledge of regulatory dispensations around the given products.
• Basic statistical acumen
• Technical skill sets to churn large volumes of data.
• Communication, articulation, and presentation skills.
• Proficient operating knowledge of MS Office – specifically excel, PowerPoint & word.

Experience Required
• Minimum experience in years – 5 years if pass out from Tier 1 Institutes / 8 years for other institutes.
• Exposure to Credit Risk or Policy management/ Portfolio Risk Management/ Credit Monitoring of SME / Wholesale Products in large lending institutions / Banks

Major Stakeholders (intra-team and cross functional stakeholders, who would need to be interacted with for discharging duties)
• Credit Strategy Team
• Internal Audit & Compliance
• Other sub-Units of larger Internal Risk Management Team
