About the Role: As a Mechanical Designer, you will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical systems and components for a variety of applications. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, your responsibilities will include:
• Conceptual Design: Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop conceptual designs for new products or improvements to existing products.
• CAD Modeling: Using CAD software to create detailed 3D models and drawings of mechanical components and assemblies.
• Design Optimization: Analyzing designs to identify opportunities for optimization in terms of performance, cost, and manufacturability.
• Prototype Development: Working with prototype teams to build and test prototypes of mechanical systems and components.
• Testing and Validation: Conducting testing and validation of mechanical designs to ensure they meet performance and reliability requirements.
• Documentation: Creating detailed documentation, including drawings, specifications, and BOMs (Bill of Materials), to support manufacturing and assembly processes.
• Collaboration: Working closely with other members of the engineering team, as well as with manufacturing, quality, and procurement teams, to ensure successful implementation of designs.
Qualifications: We're seeking candidates who possess the following qualifications:
• Mechanical Engineering Degree: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• CAD Proficiency: Proficiency in CAD software, such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Creo, with the ability to create detailed 3D models and drawings.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively to develop innovative solutions to complex mechanical challenges.
• Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail and accuracy in creating designs and documentation.
• Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to stakeholders at all levels.
