Remuneration: $71,467 - $114,187 per annum

WSLHD Health Promotion is seeking an enthusiastic full time permanent Project Officer to join our dynamic team. In this exciting role, you’ll be part of team fostering partnerships with over 220 local primary schools to deliver evidence-based and locally informed healthy eating and physical activity initiatives, including implementation of the NSW Health Live Life Well @ School program.

What you'll be doing
Help improve the health of children and families in Western Sydney through the delivery of health promotion programs aligned with key local priorities. Responsibilities will include:
Implementing Go4Fun, Munch & Move, and school-based initiatives
Supporting sites to adopt healthy practices and meet program KPIs
Collecting and managing data for program reporting and evaluation
Building local partnerships and deliver community workshops
Contributing to planning, training, and continuous improvement

Essential Requirements:
License: Driver’s license
Qualification: Bachelor or higher degree in any of the following – Population Health, Health Promotion, Public Health, Education, or other relevant degree
Selection Criteria:
Relevant tertiary qualifications at graduate level or above in: population health, health promotion, public health or other health related areas
Knowledge, experience or understanding of key Early Years and/or School Years settings and the key issues that impact service delivery
Demonstrated experience in project planning, implementation, evaluation and dissemination of best practice interventions (especially in the area of childhood obesity prevention)
Demonstrated effective organisational skills, problem solving skills and computer skills
Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication skills (including the ability to conduct public presentations and facilitate groups)
Understanding of issues that impact on service delivery in relation to social disadvantage, Aboriginal and culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities
Demonstrated experience in working as part of a team and developing and maintaining partnerships, and ability to work with minimal supervision
Current driver’s license valid within Australia
