Job Description
About the Program:
The TAEG Program exists to provide enhanced services and support for people looking for work. Through this program, the Foundation delivers a range of enhanced services including building job ready skills, training and qualification support, mentoring, networking opportunities and post-placement support.
About the Position:
As a the Post Placement Support Mentor, you are responsible for delivering personalised one-on-one post-placement support to participants who have secured employment. The role focuses on engaging with employers to support participants in maintaining sustainable employment for up to six months. You will build and maintain meaningful relationships with employers and industry stakeholders to create ongoing employment opportunities for participant referrals, while partnering with business and industry to secure and support sustainable employment outcomes.
This is a full-time position on a fixed term basis until June 2027.
About You:
To be suitable for this role you will need to demonstrate the following experience and attributes:
Demonstrated experience in providing mentoring, support and assistance to job seekers.
Understanding of the local labour market ability to identify labour needs in employers.
Ability to navigate databases or CRM systems to fulfil reporting requirements.
Ability to work collaboratively and build rapport with employers, community organisations and support services.
Develop and maintain purposeful, empowering, and supportive relationships with participants throughout the program.
Experience in addressing risks to job sustainability and implementing measures to overcome these risks.
Ability to work within a small team and independently.
High level of communication skills, both verbal and written.
Essential Requirements:
Police clearance (or ability to obtain)
Certificate IV in Employment Services, Career Development or similar field, or equivalent experience.
Current Working with Children Check (or ability to obtain)
C Class Driver's Licence
