Systems Engineer – (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL) DBA with DB Security exp
Role Summary:
This requirement is for database ops is an individual contributor role with expertise in Oracle, Postgres, MySQL DBA skills who is responsible to maintain & support critical database systems 24x7. Experience in thorough understanding of database security/audit compliance is a must.
Role:
ü 5 to 10 years of experience in oracle, Postgres & MySQL administration
ü Support and Administer database clusters effectively, efficiently and independently on Exadata & other platforms.
ü Having good knowledge of implementing database security, audit principles & audit reporting.
ü Performing tasks related to RAC installation and configuration, performance tuning, backup, recovery, security, patching, upgrades, and high availability.
ü Resolve moderate to complex (P1, P2 and P3) incidents and problems effectively in a timely manner.
ü Provide automation solutions for manual efforts & repetitive issues.
ü Providing 24X7 production support and available for escalations
ü Responsible for performing root cause analysis and long-term fix
ü Responsible for implementation of medium to complex components of a project module, change request.
ü Responsible for providing trend analysis to management team to enable them to make informed decisions.
ü Working in a cross-cultural team and communicate effectively.
ü Mentoring and guiding other team members
Technology Skills:
ü Expertise in managing multiple oracle 11g,12C,18/1+c including RAC on medium to large systems and Exadata administration.
ü Expertise in managing PostgreSQL 13.x/15.x & MySQL 8.x on on-premise & cloud deployments.
ü Very good knowledge of Linux/AIX/Windows and its related commands and scripting.
ü Expertise in RMAN/OEM, Goldengate technology.
ü Expertise in troubleshooting, pro-active monitoring, backup, restore/recovery and performance tuning in databases including RAC instances.
ü High availability features – Oracle Dataguard
ü Should have exposure to automation skills like Shell/Python/Ansible/Jenkins
ü Having knowledge in MySQL will be an advantage.
ü Exposure to cloud like AWS, Azure will be good.
ü Any knowledge in automation skills would be an advantage.
ü Good analytical skills
ü Flexible to work in shifts
ü Good team player and willingness to explore and learn new areas/technologies.
