Responsibilities
• Experienced with PostgreSQL & PostgreSQL Architecture
• Strong experience working on Postgres database in the production environment.
• Experienced with Cloud implementations of PostgreSQL (AWS, Azure) and its tools
• Responsible for managing development, test, QA and production databases and applications and implementing future enhancements to meet the business needs of the end users.
• Monitor database health - availability, reliability, performance, capacity planning, and security.
• Assist developers with query tuning and schema refinement
• Collaborate with Dev team to help to write optimized query for performance improvement.
• Demonstrated expertise with performance tuning, replication, and data warehousing
• Monitor database performance to identify slowdowns or potential issues
• Review PostgreSQL logs and problem
• Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities
• Provide support for critical production systems
• Perform DBA activities - Cluster Creation , Cluster/Node maintenance , Disk management , Indexing , partitioning , scale-up and scale-out , back-up restore , storage , Query processing optimization.
